Sami Sipahioglu (b. 1992) is a New Media Designer and Digital Artist from Istanbul, based in Berlin, currently studying New Media Design at the University of Europe. As a freelancer, he worked with local advertising agencies in Istanbul and exhibited his artworks in Istanbul, Berlin, and New York. He is interested in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Motion Design, New Media, Surrealism, and using technology in design.
Throughout his journey, he holds a BA in Visual Communication Design from Istanbul Bilgi University with Honors certification. He worked for brands like Converse, Shopi Go, Artibir, House of Super Step, and others throughout his bachelor's year. He also displayed his artworks at venues like Müze Gazhane, Funkhaus, North Javits Congress Hall, and others.
In his surreal artworks, which he does under the name Sam Sipahi, he draws inspiration from reactions, interactions, relationships, memories, and the reflections we cast on each other's lives. He believes that these behaviors leave an imprint on our subconscious. He enjoys diving into these stories and visualizing them.
